Empty

by Tala

You stare at me with empty eyes into my blackened heart,

The answer be, and this is true, for we will ne’er part.

You stare at me with empty eyes, as I read my books of Poe,

The raven has just struck the hour for you ne’er grow old.

You stare at me with empty eyes as you wait for your company,

The night is waning fast you see, just like you and me.

You stare at me with empty eyes, like fire to say the least,

But behind those eyes, oh yes my love I can see the beast.

You stare at me with empty eyes, the wolves they come pounding on the earth,

The darkness waits for mother, waiting for her birth.

You stare at me with empty eyes, the blood drops come one by one,

There’ll never be another tomorrow, or another sun.

You stare at me with empty eyes, those eyes of ice cold blue,

Just as they said before my love, sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth.
