[i have to keep my legs crossed.
every time my legs separate,
hysterical laughter escapes my womb
& other women who recognize
the screams bleed in sympathy.]
Lepenski Vir is a side project of Imbolc. whose mentor is also Pvra Dalem. More direct and violent in content and language than Imbolc., it acts as a libel made through music and spoken word against the institution of patriarchy. It is an active voice of denouncement of all the crimes committed against the female gender since the institution of patriarchy. Acting more as a vortex of female empowerment through (self) recognition of strong values like perserverance, courage, strife, dedication, honour, severity and unconditional, unfettered love, Lepenski Vir is a Message-oriented project. In the present day Lepenski Vir is a work in progress, with a small number of tracks already composed and others in composition. In the near future there might happen a split EP between Lepenski Vir and Imbolc., contrasting the different tendencies of each project. Also, whereas Imbolc. alludes to the obscure feminine in a philosophical, almost mystical way, Lepenski Vir is a clearly assumed sex-radical feminist separatist project. As Dalem says, "*attacking those who MUST be attacked* ...
JUSTICE IS A WOMAN WITH A SWORD!
[The inquisitor's greatest fear was the incredible power female sexuality has over males. Their own horrid fear of women is expressed when it is reported that the bewitchment could result in impotence, or in extreme examples, the disappearance of the male organ itself.
Some forms of torture were devised for women in particular, and these tortures were sexual in nature. The simplest form of torture was rape. Although rape was not considered an accepted method for gaining information, it occurred repeatedly and dramatically within the confines of the witches' prisons, being inflicted even to pubescent and prepubescent girls, children who most of times died shortly after the attack.
Secularly recognized tortures were no less sexual in nature. Legal torture permitted men to make gratuitous sexual advances and to perform malevolous experiments upon women.
Thus the inquisitors and executioners made a hideous parody of women's roles as mothers, daughters, lovers, wives, sisters and nurses, imposing humiliation beyond belief upon them, the total inversion of the most sacred law in nature, becoming the murderers of life itself.]
