IMBOLC. was born in 1999. It is solely the work and creation of Pvra Dalem, Female, 24 years of age. Somewhere near March 2001, Drachaikreuz Transdesertiia issued the very limited MORS-AMOR demo cd with 13 tracks, and dedicated to Countess Caterina Sforza. In October 2000 Imbolc. created a few tracks for a live performance with Nigredo, with whom Dalem has cooperated between 1996 and 1999.
Presently Dalem works re-editing the Mors-Amor tracks and creating new themes for two conceptual albums to issue in a near future, MORS DENTATA,– a very personal approach to female energy and might in its more obscure side, and WUNDKANAL, an obsessional voyage to Chaos.
Future collaborations are also in Dalem’s present agenda: A split album with Portuguese project I NVERNO, and future work with also Portuguese KARNNOS, with whom she has collaborated in a 4-track EP issued on Hau Ruck, and in their concert in Lisbon last May.
What makes Imbolc. alive? The will to live day after day, after surviving a life-destroying trauma. Imbolc. is a cathartic process where a poetic approach is united with the severity of the sound.
MORS DENTATA : the female as wild beast, as a primal being with a powerful, threatening, insatiable sexuality, the myth of the Vagina Dentata made flesh, and consequently Her declaration of war to the imposing males and the submissive females.
The Absolute Woman, rejecting the imposed rules and roles and imposing herself as Warrioress, Goddess, Leader, Bearer of Life and Death, She Who Must be Obeyed.
